What is North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten (NCPre-K) Program?NC Pre-K, formerly known as More at Four, is a state-funded, community-based, voluntary pre-kindergarten initiative designed to prepare at-risk four-year-olds in North Carolina for success in school. We will soon begin accepting applications for the 2013-14 school year. NC Pre-K is provided at no cost to eligible families and children who are not currently enrolled in a child care setting that meets NCPK requirements. NC Pre-K is offered from 8:00am to 2:30pm for 10 months and generally follows the Lee County Schools’ calendar for attendance. What Does NC Pre-K Offer?

How Do I Register?We will begin accepting applications for 2013-14 school year April10, 2013. To register: Come to our office to fill out the NC Pre-K application. Have the following ready to review
i. 4 pay stubs for individuals paid weekly ii. 1 stub for individuals paid monthly iii. 2 stubs for individuals paid bi-monthly (every 2 weeks) iv. 2 stubs for individuals paid bi-monthly (2 x per month) v. Self employed individual provide annual tax records (1040) 4. If you are on subsidy please have a copy of your Voucher or latest Action Notice In order to make a well-educated choice for your child's placement, please refer to our Choosing Childcare page and visit all the NC Pre-K spots before registering your child.
